I have 3 buddys here at work leaving on Thursday. I hope to make the trip with them sometime in the near future.

im making the derby trip this year for the first time

the infield at the preakness was a blast when i did it

the more im hearing......the more im liking one of the cali horses

I haven't gotten to look at the full list yet. I saw where War Pass wasn't making it. I heard one horse that sounded like it may have been fathered by Point Given, which should have won the triple crown about 4 years ago, but choked at the derby. I think the next triple crown winner will be bred by Point Given.

there are a few that can be traced back to ap indy and mr prospector though

Point Given was a beast. Its too bad he choked at the derby. I wish we would see another triple crown winner soon.

Since we don't know the poles, or what jockey will be on each horse yet, I am going with Colonel John, Gayego, and then Eight Belles for the finishing order.

actually alot of the mounts have already been decided

for example edgar prado decided hes riding adriano instead of tale of ekati or monba

coa is now on tale of ekati because big truck is out

the post draw is tomorrow i think

by all accounts denis of cork has had a few good workouts this week

i like gayego only because horses who run well at oaklawn tend to do well on the churchill surface........ive heard they are very similar

i think the transition from the poly track to dirt is easier than going the other way as war pass showed......that being said i think one of the cali horses could make some noise

Anybody know anything about Pyro? Considering entering pyro in a trifecta. Colonel John is who I have winning it, plan on putting Colonel John 1, and then Pyro/Gayego 2/3. I always enjoy going over to the OTB on derby day. It always ends up pretty wild by the time post time rolls around.
